A New Beginning 🌼
This evening I started a new drawing.
This time, I’ve chosen a daisy.
Throughout history, the daisy has carried many beautiful meanings, including innocence, hope and joy. For this drawing, however, I chose the meaning that reflects my own life most at this moment:
New Beginnings.
A lot has changed in my life recently. I have just started Art Wishes, a dream I had been putting off for far too long. At the same time, after the passing of my father, I found myself searching for a new path forward.
That’s why this daisy is much more than just a flower to me. It represents the belief that, even after loss and change, there is always room for a new chapter.
For me, today truly marks a new beginning.
As with every Art Wish, I’d love to take you along on the creative journey through these journal updates—from the very first sketch to the final details.
Many people might think:
“A daisy is simply white.”
But that’s exactly what makes this flower so fascinating to draw. When you really look closely, you’ll discover that the petals are anything but plain white. They reveal delicate shades of blue, soft grey, warm cream and even hints of violet. Those subtle colours are what bring a drawing to life.
