Sometimes, it takes only the smallest thing to suddenly make someone we miss feel close again.

A song. A familiar scent. A special place. Or a butterfly that unexpectedly appears and seems to stay near you just a little longer than usual. Who hasn’t had that fleeting thought: could it be…?

To me, a butterfly is a symbol of remembrance. Since losing my father-in-law and my father, I sometimes find myself hoping that perhaps they have become beautiful butterflies. Of course, I don’t know. But whenever I see a butterfly, I think of them. And that alone makes such a small encounter feel very special.

That is the feeling I wanted to capture in Butterfly – Forever.

The people we lose through death do not simply disappear from our lives. They remain with us in our memories and in our hearts. And sometimes, the smallest things can bring those memories back. A ray of sunshine, a familiar scent, a song you suddenly hear… or a butterfly that quietly settles nearby.

Butterfly – Forever is therefore a small piece of art with a much bigger meaning. A reminder of someone deeply missed, but also a symbol of love and hope. Because as long as someone lives on in our hearts, they are never truly gone.

It can be a meaningful gift for someone who has lost a loved one, especially when it is difficult to find the right words. Or it can simply be something for yourself: a tangible reminder of someone who will always be part of you.
